LOCATIONS BRIEF

Soho streets, cafes, pubs, jazz clubs, bookshops, strip joints and drinking clubs of the 1950s. 


SHOOTING LOCATIONS

Soho, London and Lace Market, Nottingham and London's River Thames embankment.


FILMING STYLE

Based on the ethos and techniques of a 1950s Free Cinema documentary and in 1950s early Nouvelle Vague and Cinema Verite. It is also based on series of photographs by Picture Post photographers and Ken Russell presented in an exhibition organised by The Photographers Gallery called 'Soho Nights'.
